A Uniquely Colorado Experience

Mountain Flying Training

Flying in Colorado delivers an unmatched mountain flying experience, stunning scenery paired with the need for advanced skills and awareness. While operating in mountainous terrain introduces unique challenges, a solid understanding of weather patterns, airport characteristics, and aircraft performance helps pilots operate safely and confidently.

Our Mountain Flying Course combines comprehensive ground instruction with hands-on flight training. You’ll learn essential techniques for high-density altitude operations, approaches and landings at high elevation airports, and how to respond to common mountain flying scenarios and emergencies. This course is designed for pilots who are new to, or looking to build confidence in, high-altitude environments.

The typical course consists of a 2-hour ground training and a 4-5 hour flight, but can be tailored to student preference.

A Private Pilot Certificate is required for enrollment. Pricing varies based on flight time. Contact us to schedule your training.
