After years as a geologist, I traded in my hammer for a headset and decided the sky had better views. As a flight instructor, I help aspiring pilots reach their goals and keep their skills sharp. Hi, most people call me Abo. I’m a long time resident of the Colorado front range, both on the ground and the airspace. If you’ve looked up recently you may have seen me soaring around in a Skyhawk. Or on land, a mountain bike trail or remote campsite. being a pilot has been a lifelong dream since I was a kid and got to experience flying in the DC-10. Currently, Im a CFI-I who strives to make every flight a great experience.

I’ve been a pilot since I was 18, and I’m a first-generation flyer! I learned to fly while I was at Purdue, while I studied mechanical engineering. I have a diverse background of experience, ranging from flying to racing sports cars semi-professionally. I love getting to fly out in the mountains and taking my golden retriever, Zulu, up for some flight time!
